Dot Commands
Table of ContentsIndex

The Text fields on the New Note page, Reply to Note page, and the Reply to Meeting Notice page, and the Purpose field on the Send Meeting Notice page accept these OfficeVision/VM dot commands:

.ad Adds names to the addressee list
.cc Sends a copy of a note or meeting notice
.at Substitutes a title for an addressee list
.ct Substitutes a title for the courtesy copy list for the copy list
.ak Requests acknowledgment
.nak Cancels a request for acknowledgment
.wh Displays the addressee and copy list

If note logging is enabled in your OfficeVision/VM configuration, these pages also accept these dot commands:

.lf Puts note or meeting notice in a special note log
.nl Prevents automatic filing of a note or meeting notice

You can specify Internet style addresses(userid@host) on the .ad and .cc commands.

When you enter dot commands, you must start typing in the first column of any row in the field. You can use upper or lowercase letters. Do not type any note text on the same line as the command.

If you specify a distribution list name in another field or on a dot command and that list includes dot commands, VM:Webserver for OfficeVision will process any of the dot commands listed above except .ak, .lf, and .nl. Also, any .at or .ct command you enter in a field overrides the same command in a distribution list.

VM:Webserver for OfficeVision processes dot commands when you click your mouse on another part of the page. For example, if you type .ad name in the body of a new note and then click your mouse on another field, VM:Webserver for OfficeVision displays the name in the To field and removes the command from the text.
